Lady Velrosa Nandar is the High Steward of Nightstone. She is also the ruler of Nandar Keep. So far as her authority and duties go, they mostly revolve around ensuring the noble visitors from Waterdeep are treated as according to their station, and continued diplomacy with the Wood Elves of the Ardeep forest. She is beloved by the residents of Nightstone, and well regarded among the aristocrats of Waterdeep.

The Nandar family is an unremarkable minor Noble house in the Sword Coast, with Lady Velrosa’s brother-in-law Baron Gennis Nandar as the family patriarch. Baron Gennis manages the Family’s assets from the ancestral Manor in Waterdeep. Other Nandar family members (including Velrosa’s adult children) are spread among other cities, including Baldur’s Gate and Neverwinter.

Velrosa was widowed last year when her husband, Lord Drezlin died in an altercation with the Wood Elves of the Ardeep forest. Despite the grief over losing her husband, Velrosa was able to prevent the incident from escalating into a war that would have certainly caused the destruction of Nightstone. The agreement reached with the Elves allows the continued (though managed) noble hunts within an acceptable portion of the forest and a negotiated peace.
